French Immersion Program

A Kindergarten to grade 12 French Immersion program is offered in the Mission School District. There are two elementary programs and one secondary program. All three schools are housed in a dual track setting with English program students.

École Christine Morrison Elementary School and École Mission Central Elementary School offer the Elementary French Immersion programs. École Mission Secondary School offers the Secondary French Immersion program. East and West catchment boundaries for the elementary program have been established as follows:

Both catchment areas belong to the École Mission Secondary family of schools, and students will transition from École Christine Morrison Elementary School and École Mission Central Elementary School to École Mission Secondary School for grades 8 to 12.

The French Immersion program is a Program of Choice. Parents wishing to enroll their children should register with the school offering the choice program in accordance with the catchment boundaries as stated above. Acceptance into the program will be provided based on sufficient space being available and in accordance with the program guidelines.
